About Us

This 18th century home has been watching travelers along the Great Road (Hwy 12) for more than 260 years. Recently updated with your comfort in mind, The Dutch Treat is ready to welcome you. The elegant European furnishings are designed to ensure you relax and enjoy your stay.

Each of the five guestrooms has been furnished very carefully to remind you of a bygone era, and of faraway places that you may have visited in the past. The private bathrooms have been equipped to pamper you, so you can relax after a full day of travel, sightseeing or skiing.

For breakfast, you will be treated to both cold and hot dishes and homemade fare to challenge your taste-buds. The newly redecorated dining room will make you feel welcome and at home. Recipes of interest can be shared.

Your hosts are Dob and Eric Lutz, who left The Netherlands forty years ago and have lived in Canada, England, Austria and the United States ever since. They also speak French and German.
