Attractions

Located in the Connecticut River Valley is the historic community of Charlestown, NH; the Dutch Treat is a few minutes walk from the Connecticut River. The property has off street parking for 6-8 cars and a very comfortable porch with wicker furniture. You may want to read a book or look out over some majestic trees with your favorite refreshment.

During the winter there is great down hill skiing at Mount Ascutney (20 minutes), Okemo (30 minutes and Mount Sunapee (45 minutes) driving from The Dutch Treat. For cross country skiers there is a wonderful groomed set of trails at Grafton Ponds in Vermont (40 minutes).

Between 5 and 6pm all guests are invited to the hospitality suite where your hosts serve refreshments with a selection of Dutch and New England cheeses. There will be menus to look into from a dozen restaurants in the immediate area. Maps plus descriptions of walking tours around the historic district, and places to cross country or downhill ski are there for your review. Assistance with dinner reservations is available upon request.
